Çayır Üçgülü

A short-lived perennial legume well suited to crop rotation. It generally lives 3–4 years. The stems are fine and delicate, grow semi-erect and can reach 60–70 cm. It is grown mainly for hay, either alone or in mixtures with grasses. Its herbage has high feeding value. Not tolerant of dry conditions, it is grown for grazing and hay production in regions with irrigation or regular annual rainfall. When grown as a pure stand it requires a carefully prepared seedbed. It is sown in spring in cool regions and in late summer or early autumn in temperate regions.
A very high-yielding variety with high nutritional values, indispensable in pasture blends. It reaches good dry-matter content not only in the first year but in the second as well, and can also be used as a main crop. Its best trait is its persistence. It grows fast and dense, and its herbage yield is also high.
